William Ake began his financial career with Nuveen Investments in 1992.  He started trading options in1994 when he worked for Credit Agricole Futures, Inc. in Chicago. In 1997 he became a Director at Barclays Capital managing their twenty four hour trading desk which dealt in securities and options that traded worldwide. From 2002 to 2009 he worked for the Ross Perot family investment office, in Dallas Texas, where he was an analyst for the family’s hedge fund portfolio. In 2009 he co-founded and served as COO and CCO of a registered investment advisor, Fort Sheridan Advisors LLC, that provided customized investment strategies for family offices, fund of funds, pensions and endowments. Then in June 2017 he founded Van Ake Capital LLC. Bill has a B.A. from Hobart College.
